WeChat asks for phone verification when you register a new account. A virtual number is a working phone number issued over the internet, without a physical SIM card. SMSFAST provides one whenever WeChat asks for a number:
WeChat checks each phone number before accepting it, and numbers from shared public pools or VoIP ranges are frequently rejected. Public VoIP numbers are internet-based lines not tied to a mobile carrier.
SMSFAST provides paid, exclusive non-VoIP numbers that sit outside these public pools. Each number is assigned to one user at a time, so SMSFAST numbers pass WeChat's phone verification in most cases. Delivery rates by country appear in the table above. Choosing a country with a higher rate improves success on the first attempt.
Either create a new account by clicking "Registration" or log in if you already have one.
In the top right corner, click "+" and choose a convenient top-up method. Add the amount you need.
In the left menu, under "Select service," click "WeChat". Then, choose your region from the list.
Click "Buy" and wait a few seconds for your temporary number to be purchased and activated.
Copy the phone number from the "Number" field to activate the service.
Wait for the one-time password (OTP) to appear in the "Code from SMS" field, then enter it in the WeChat verification screen to complete registration.
Verifying a WeChat account with SMSFAST takes four steps.
Both options let you receive an SMS code on a WeChat number. The difference is in reliability and privacy.
WeChat requires a phone number to register, but it does not have to be your own. A virtual number from SMSFAST receives the SMS verification code and keeps your personal line private. WeChat also asks an existing user to verify most new accounts by scanning a QR code.
WeChat does not ban accounts over the type of number used at signup. Suspensions come from policy violations, not from virtual numbers in general. SMSFAST supplies legitimate non-VoIP numbers that WeChat accepts in most cases, so the number itself is not the risk.
WeChat Pay works with international Visa and Mastercard cards, within set limits, since 2023. A mainland China number and a Chinese bank card unlock the fullest WeChat Pay functionality. An account verified with a non-Chinese virtual number can still use core WeChat features.
SMSFAST activation-mode numbers last 20 to 90 minutes and cover one registration. Add a permanent phone number to your WeChat account soon after signup. An expired virtual number then cannot affect your future access. Long-term rental keeps a number reserved to you for 1 day to 1 year.
Numbers from the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Singapore, and Hong Kong show stable acceptance for WeChat verification. Mainland China numbers offer the widest feature access, including WeChat Pay. Delivery rates by country appear in the table above.
Using a virtual number to verify a WeChat account is legal in most countries for personal use. SMSFAST operates as a legitimate business-to-consumer service. Verifying this way may not match WeChat's own terms, so you stay responsible for the account. Treat this as general information, not legal advice.
Yes, SMSFAST covers far more than WeChat. SMSFAST supports SMS verification for more than 1,000 platforms, including WhatsApp, Telegram, Google, Instagram, and Discord. Cancel before the SMS arrives and your balance is refunded immediately, so testing a number for another service costs nothing.
